For the fourth time this year, Pirelli has brought the softest tyres in its range. This includes the softest of all, the C6, which many drivers have found doesn’t perform well enough over a single flying lap. We could therefore see some drivers attempt laps on the other compounds in this session.
Lando Norris set the quickest time of the weekend so far in final practice earlier today. However Ferrari were quickest in the second practice session yesterday and may have kept some of their pace in hand in final practice.
We could see the fastest lap of all time at the Baku City Circuit today. Charles Leclerc set the current record in 2023 with a time of 1’40.203.
